Teaching material

Here you will find teaching material on various topics related to development of small urban settlements. The teaching material consists of video lectures and exercieses. The videos have general relevance, and may be of interest to anybody. The exercises are suitable for higher education and have been developed especially for education programs at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) and Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU).

The teaching material has different elements, and it is developed with basis in Bloom’s taxonomy, illustrated by the triangle below:

Video lectures relate to the to lowest levels; Remember &Understand. The objective is to understand the introduced topic, and answer simple topical questions.

Exercises relate to the two middle levels; Apply & Analyze. The objective is to apply the knowledge one has on a topic to analyze a practical case and/or reflect on more complex topical questions.
